Each week people just like you give their time to serve. Whether it’s greeting guests, pitching in behind the scenes, or helping kids learn about God on their level, every volunteer minister is making a difference in our church.

Safe Environment Training

Following an application review, three reference checks will be completed by the Compliance Officer. Then a link will be sent to the volunteer from the Diocese of Tucson Human Resources Department to complete our online Safe Environment Program with CMG Connect (Catholic Mutual Group).

Applicants view relevant videos, review and acknowledge our Diocese Code of Conduct, the Guidelines for the Prevention of and Response to Sexual Misconduct, and the State of Arizona Mandatory Reporting Law. It will culminate in the electronic signing of an Individual Affirmation where the volunteer will confirm that he or she understands and will abide by the policies of the Diocese of Tucson as adopted for the parish by its Board of Directors and the law of the State of Arizona, all of which is to prevent harm to minors and vulnerable adults and are requirements of the Safe Environment Program. 

All volunteers must submit a fingerprint card following the completion of CMG which can be completed at the parish office. The Diocese of Tucson does not accept any other criminal history and/or background checks other than those completed in the Diocese of Tucson CMG Connect. Volunteers will have permanent access to their account in CMG anytime during the duration of their active service.
